You can expect around 10 hours of gameplay and multiple boss battles in a big, sprawling world which you’re free to explore and dig through at your own pace. But since it’s at least ten times as good it’s more than a nice deal. That’s twice the price of the original SteamWorld Dig.

Only two issues held me back a bit (I wanted to swing my pickaxe in the air and the jetpack is tricky through spiky areas).We also revealed 10 beautiful new screenshots. Thunderful Games Announces SteamWorld Headhunter, A 3D Sequel To SteamWorld Dig 2 Thunderful held a showcase today featuring upcoming games from the publisher including The Gunk (which holds a newly announced December release date) and the Stadia timed-exclusive aquatic adventure Wavetale, which releases today. The graphics are pleasing and the gameplay is smooth. The game feels very well paced with goodies and upgrades coming steadily, but not easily (played on Normal mode). I'm not sure if I would play through it again, but I will likely pick up after the last save and see if I can complete all of the caves. The only real complaint would be that it is too short of a game, but for the price it is worth the ~10 hours of gameplay.
What an awesome game! I played through and enjoyed almost all of it (there were a few challenging parts that I was just not prepared for). I admit that the game trailer wasn't all that exciting.but decided to give it a try. I thought I would read some of the reviews from the first game and see what this new one was all about. After getting the Nintendo Switch I have been reading about upcoming games and came across Steamworld Dig 2.
